Morscher’s Pork Store in Ridgewood, NY
If you love bacon, I’m going to need you to hop on the M train into Ridgewood, Queens. Walk down Forest Avenue and then make a right onto Catalpa Ave. To your left, you are going to see Morscher’s Pork Store. Filled so tightly, is a butcher shop that is overflowing with meats and German treats. Your head will want to spin around to take everything in.
At first, you might feel a bit overwhelmed, but no worries! The people behind the counter are incredibly friendly and patient.
While this black forest bacon featured above is meant to be eaten cold, it tastes fan-freaking-tastic hot as well. I have to stop myself from going to Morscher’s more often because I just want to eat this bacon up everyday, which is exactly what I did with this stack.
