Wright’s Farm Apple Picking
Wright’s Farm has become out go-to apple picking spot in the fall. We went opening weekend this year and the trees were so bountiful that picking was a breeze. This year we left with a ton of Empire and Honeycrisp apples, with some Cortlands, Gala and Macintosh in there. My favorite of the bunch is the Empire apple. It’s a nice mix of tart and sweet, and the crispness is amazing.
From the Wright’s Farm market, we also grabbed some peach jam and bread and butter pickles that are amazing. The cider doughnuts are of course a must, get more than you think you will eat because you will eat them. Other items that we left with include salsa verde, Seriously Spicy salsa, and pumpkin pie.
If you need apple recommendations or just like learning some stuff, talk to Mike or Colin who drive around in orange carts. They are super friendly and knowledgeable. Bonus, it looks like Wright’s Farm will be producing beer at some point, judging by a sign that they had up.
