Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ Austin, TX
Incredible. From a food truck, you get barbecue that is excellent, juicy, flavorful and unforgettable. I was able to get in a half day in Austin on my way back to New York, and my wonderful husband agreed to drive me around so I could try and check out some more spots in Austin. With the powers of the internet, I decided to head to Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ and then with advisement from some friends on Facebook, would head to Torchy’s Tacos after. Both happened to be food trucks.
Valentina’s really was fantastic. We tried a brisket taco and carnitas taco. The two were delicious, but the brisket really won us over. Some of the best brisket I’ve had in my life. I really liked that they used a flour tortilla (it was a nice change from the corn tortillas we typically get in NYC). There was a ton of meat on each taco and very few toppings so that the meat could really shine. If you get a chance, make sure to check out their food. You won’t regret it.
