Uses for Krusteaz Mix

Of course you can use it to make pancakes. Krusteaz pancake mix is so freaking good. My husband read about how good the mix was and used it to make heart-shaped pancakes for me one year. I was shocked by how fluffy and tasty they were, especially since you only had to add water to the dry mixture.

For days when you are feeling a bit naughty, use it to make funnel cake.

Heat 1” of oil in a pan. Mix Krusteaz mix (pancake or waffle) in with some whole milk so that it resembles pancake batter. Drop a tiny drop of the batter into the oil to see if it sizzles and is hot enough. When it is hot enough, pour the batter with something with a spout, or with a ladle, and swirl it around as you pour it into the oil. Flip it when the bottom is golden brown. When both sides are gold brown, take it out and drain on a paper towel. When you are ready to serve, sift confectioner’s sugar over it.

And then when you are feeling extremely naughty, you can take the same batter that you used for the funnel cake, dip and Oreo cookie into that and fry that too.
