Tried and Tested: Little Bites of Bacon Heaven
I saw these being made on Pioneer Woman and have been dying to try them. They’re labeled as Holiday Bacon Appetizers and can be made into a savory or sweet option. Both are great, but I have to say that my guests and I preferred the savory version to the sweet version. Also, the sugar version had a bit too much sugar for us, so if I were to make it again, I would cut back on it.
I could have sat there and eaten a whole plate for dinner. They’re super easy to make, however, they do take a while in the oven, so make sure to plan accordingly if you are prepping for a party.
1 package of bacon. Use scissors to cut the pile into two halves.
Grated parmesan or brown sugar
Rectangle club crackers
Heat oven to 200 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with foil for easy clean up.
Place a backing rack on top of the foil.
Take a cracker, place a teaspoon of parmesan OR brown sugar on it. The Pioneer Woman brown sugar recipe was a bit too sweet, so going forward, I would probably only do ½ teaspoon of brown sugar.
