Sausage, Peppers & Onion Recipe

In NYC, a sausage, pepper and onion hero can be found at every street fair. At home, usually I serve and eat it without the bread. It’s really easy to make and also great to make as a bulk dish if you have a large party.

Sweet or Hot Italian Sausage

Red and Green Peppers (Sliced into thin strips)

Onions (Sliced into thin strip)

Olive Oil

Now What?

Poke tiny holes in the sausage. Pour a bit of olive oil into a pan, cook on medium-high heat and brown the sausages on all sides. Take the sausages out.

Add more oil into the pan, cook on medium heat and start sautéing the peppers and onions until they develop a little bit of brown on them.

Place the sausages on top of the vegetables.

Cover the pan and cook until the sausages are cooked all the way though.
