Rizzo’s Pizza UES
Our building received a stack of Rizzo’s pizzeria delivery menus, so we thought that we would give it a try. I kept calling one weekend and no one answered, so they must’ve been super busy. And then on another day I decided to try again and got through. I have to say, the square pizza pie they delivered to me was amazing. With a super thin crust, cheesy tomato sauce and then topped with high quality mozzarella, each bite was amazing. It had so much umami to it, you didn’t want to stop eating it. My mouth is watering thinking about it right now. I can’t stress what a sucker I am for a well-made, thin crust pizza.
The delivery seems to be inconsistent as I called another day after that, and was told they didn’t deliver to my neighborhood, which was a bit weird since their delivery menus were left at our building, and they had delivered to us that previous weekend. When I asked about that they said that they were really busy and couldn’t send their delivery guy that far.
I happened to be in the area of their Upper East Side location (was grabbing a slice and chicken roll at Luzzo’s), so stopped by Rizzo’s to get a fresh slice (because what’s better than more pizza after pizza). It still tasted wonderful and I remembered to take a picture so that you can see just how thin one of their regular slices is.
Queens is coming for you 🙂 This place is so good!
Now I want some!
