Oven Spare Rib Recipe

Sometimes you don’t have a grill. If you have time, you can def get some delicious spare ribs from your oven. The steps are crazy simple. It just take a long time.

1 rack of ribs (St. Louis was on sale so I got those.)

BBQ seasoning mix (you can make your own, but I had a great Magic Dust mix I bought from 17th Street Barbecue).

BBQ sauce (I made some with ketchup, maple syrup, brown sugar, balsamic cream and apple juice. Simmer together until nicely blended and slightly thick.)

Now What?

Put a good layer of BBQ seasoning all over the ribs. Place on cooking sheet and wrap aluminum foil over it to form a tent over the ribs. Make sure the foil seals the sheet on all sides. Place in a 250 degree oven and cook for 4 hours.

Remove foil and mop BBQ sauce allover the ribs. Pop into a 350 degree oven and cook for 30 minutes to an hour depending on how long you can wait to eat them.
