Oriole 9 Woodstock NY
A little while back, my husband and I went camping, and on the way back home, stopped in Woodstock for lunch. We ended up at Oriole 9, which was crazy busy. But I’ll tell you what, that was probably the best Cuban sandwich I have ever had.
I know, that I’ll tell you what sounded forced, but I wanted to try using it since my husband and in-laws say it all the time. I don’t think it will become a part of my everyday language anytime soon.
Granted, I have had many bad Cuban sandwiches, but this one was ridic. I still think about it and wish I could get it in the city.
Their Cuban press is made with a slow braised pork, provolone, house made pickles and a balsamic reduction. The bread is so good. Actually, so good that I had to ask about it and it turns out a man from an Italian bakery in Jersey drives it over to them.
We also ordered this lovely brisket sandwich, which was nice, but the Cuban press really stole the show.
