OMG Hot Chocolate Chip Cake Cookies Recipe
½ cups AP flour
1/3 cup (guessing) cocoa powder
Maybe like ¼ cup of Godiva dark hot chocolate
½ bag of chocolate chunks (11.5 oz bag)
1 cup of apple puree (I have a bunch of this in my fridge. Just diced and peeled apples that I boiled and pureed)
1 stick of butter
¾ cup of granulated sugar
Vanilla extract (maybe 1 TSP)
Baking soda (a few shakes)
**I may or may not have put in 1/4 cup of sour cream. My memory is a bit fuzzy as I just tossed a bunch of things in a bowl. I can’t see how it would hurt to add it in though.
In one bowl, cream sugar with granulated sugar. I just did this quickly by hand with a wooden spoon. Add in apple puree. If you choose to put in sour cream, do it here. The texture is going to look weird. Add in vanilla extract.
In another bowl, mix together AP flour, cocoa powder, hot chocolate powder, and baking soda.
Mix the wet mixture into the dry mixture. Fold in chocolate chunks.
Quickly mold balls of mixture and place onto a baking sheet, leaving a few inches apart between each cookie. I did bigger balls of the mixture, maybe 2.5 inches wide. Do not flatten mixture when placing on baking sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 17-20 minutes.
