More Than Just Tacos!

The braised lamb shank in the above picture might be looking real good to you carnivores out there. And you know what? It was damn good too. Taco Taco is a Mexican restaurant in the Upper East Side that I have been meaning to try for a while, and I am very happy that I did.

The meal started off with a pitcher of white sangria and a frozen pina colada. While the sangria tasted just satisfactory, it was very strong. Strong=A+! Then you have the pina colada which was creamy and delicious! Soooo good that the men at the table didn’t even feel embarrassed to be sipping on an umbrella drink. The chips were really fresh and addictive. I didn’t even need to dip them in salsa. And then for main feature of the night: The braised lamb shank that they claimed would ‘fall off the bone.’ I get very wary when people put those words on the menu, but Taco Taco was true to their words, and I was wrapping this tender meat with tortilla and onions, and then dipping it into the savory sauce with each bite. It was such a mouth-watering  dish, and I know that I will be heading back to this place to try more of their delectable food. High-five! Yes, I am tired, so I am closing this post with a High-five!
