Milk & Cookies, Please!

You know when you take a bite of something and you just shout “Ohmigod” in your head? That’s how I felt when I took a bite of Ben and Jerry’s Milk & Cookies. I’m really happy that I caught the server’s mistake because when I glanced over, I saw that she was scooping into the Cookies ‘n’ Cream barrel, and if I didn’t, I wouldn’t have found one of my new favorite flavors. I think also, that I was able to get a bite of it, at the optimal moment as well. I love waiting for my ice cream to melt on the outside a little bit, while underneath that layer, it’s still firm.

Now, exactly what is so special about this flavor? Let’s begin with the description that they give, their website, benjerry.com says, “vanilla ice cream with chocolate cookie swirl, chocolate chip and chocolate chocolate chip cookies.” Now what it tasted like when I got to it was a bowl of melted vanilla ice cream with mushy chocolate chip cookies. This is a freaking A+ in my book since my favorite way to eat dunkable cookies is when it gets all mushy. Actually, my favorite way to eat Oreo cookies, is pretty much the idea of this ice cream. I fill a bowl with milk, pour in the Oreos and eat it with a spoon. Yes, as all of you know by now, I was a fat child.

I’m dying to try some of their new flavors too. There’s-

Bonnaroo Buzz: coffee and malt ice creams with toffee chunks and a whiskey caramel swirl.

Clusterfluff: peanut butter ice cream with caramel cluster pieces, peanut butter and marshmallow swirls.

Red Velvet Cake: red velvet cake batter ice cream with red velvet cake pieces and a cream cheese frosting swirl.
