Mile End Deli Throwback
It’s quite amazing how much foodporn I find on my phone and computer. I can’t even remember how long ago this picture was taken, but look at it, I remember a very tasty, albeit, very salty, brisket sandwich and brisket poutine from Mile End Deli.
Actually, thinking back on it now, all I can remember is how incredibly salty the meat was, but the meat was nice and tender enough where I would go back still. I do love me some brisket and poutine! The salitness may have been fixed at this point though, after all, it has been a very long time since I have been there.
Featured here is the:
Smoked Meat sandwich: cured and smoked brisket with mustard on rye.
Smoked Meat poutine: fried with cheese curds, brisket and gravy.
Looking at their site now, I wish that I lived closer so that I could nosh on one of their breakfast dishes. They look amazing.
Black see bagel and schmear with tomato, onion and capers.
Whitefish on black seed bagel with parsley salad and lemon.
The Beauty, which is lox, cream cheese, tomato, onion, capers on black seed bagel.
