Joe’s Ginger, Always A Favorite
Joe’s Ginger has always been the Chinatown staple of Mr. Juice and me whenever we are in the mood for soup dumplings. It’s down the street from Joe’s Shanghai, but without that huge line. The other day I was craving carp, but our regular waiter insisted I try the bass instead because it was fresher, and look at this beauty that they brought out to me. It’s a steamed bass that had oil, soy sauce, ginger and scallions poured over it. I must make it for myself one day. I have memories of my family cooking the same dish growing up and it just looks so fancy, but in actuality, it’s quite easy to make.
