Ihawan in Queens, New York
I’ve been crazy busy lately up to the point it is starting to remind me of when I first launched TheAlchemyShop.com years ago. But I really wanted to take some time out before I crashed to get a new post up, ESPECIALLY when I found these pictures from Ihawan.
Look. I don’t even remember when I went. Maybe it was like a year ago, lol. But I really enjoyed my time there, so had to get these photos up to show you at least. It’s a really casual environment. We sat upstairs. Food came up quick, prices were reasonable, and portions are very filling. It’s a great spot to head to when you want some classic Filipino dishes or Filipino comfort food.
We started off with some tasty coconut juice and an iced lime drink.
Next up was a fresh, whole fish.
Aren’t those colors gorgeous?
A big-ass rib-eye steak.
Stewed chicken.
Lumpiang Shanghai which is always a favorite. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who hasn’t loved this dish.
Crispy pata, which is deep-fried pork knuckles. The portion was very impressive.
I can’t recollect what this is. I wish I could for you, but I can’t. It looks like a type of chicharron though.
