Healthy and Tasty Smoothie and Juice Recipes

Remember how I said I was on a juicing kick? I still am. Everyday I find myself starting my morning with a smoothie, before lunch I drink grapefruit juice and then as a mid afternoon snack I sip on a veggie juice. I always read that grapefruit speeds up metabolisms so I’ve been trying to fit it in lately whenever I can. But I really am loving the smoothie and veggie recipes that I have been making so I just wanted to share the recipes with you.

This blueberry smoothie is sweet, filling and has a lovely texture from the real fruits. And doesn’t it sound so healthy too?

Ingredients

Make sure that all of the fruit is ripe

1/2-3/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice

3/4 cup skim milk

1 full handful of fresh blueberries

1 small banana or 3/4 of a large banana

1 packet of equal

Now What?

Blend until you get the consistency that you want.

This veggie juice is great. It’s kind of like a boost of energy in a glass. All I do is juice the following: 1 large cucumber, 3 large stalks of celery, 1 big handful of spinach and 2 apples.
