El Paso NYC East Harlem
El Paso is a regular spot that my friends and I go to. It’s kind of like a Big Wong or Golden Unicorn, where I go so often or have gone for so long, that I don’t realize I haven’t written about it. A bunch of us even had a surprise birthday party here for my husband, and the manager was great to work with.
There are many El Paso restaurants in Manhattan, but the one we go to is the one in East Harlem. The food is very good, however, the tequila selection is fantastic. Evidence above. You can choose from a huge list of tequilas, try tequila flights and the bartenders are always friendly and can help guide you depending on your tastes.
I’m also a big fan of their cilantro martini, which is so smooth and has a gentle cilantro after taste to it. Another great thing about El Paso in East Harlem is that they even have a juicer at the bar, and will freshly press juices for the cocktails, or if you just want something to sip on. I don’t know if I have been to another bar where you can actually see them working a juicing machine right at the bar. Wonderful.
Food wise, I have some go-to dishes there, such as the guacamole, ceviches and any of their tacos. What’s great is that you won’t have to spend a lot of money to have an incredibly satisfying and filling meal.
