Easy Oxtail Recipe

I had no idea how easy it was to make braised oxtail. I picked some raw oxtail up the other day because I thought that my grandmother would like to have some. I’ve always strayed away from it because I didn’t think I would be able to make it tasty, but it came out fantastic on my very first try with NO RECIPE. However, downside is that with no recipe, I don’t have exact measurements for the spices (sorry!).



2-3 lbs of oxtail

28 oz can of crushed tomatoes

28 oz of water

Beef bouillon cubes

Garlic powder

Onion powder

Now what?


I literally put everything in a pot, stirred, brought it to a boil for 30 minutes and then covered and let it simmer for 2.5 hours.

That is all. Seriously. That’s it. It was fall-off-the-bone tender and the flavors were fantastic, delectable, and addicting. My grandmother was raving about how tasty it was.
