Ignore the oysters and the seafood risotto in this picture. What you really want to focus on are the delicious onion rings. At City Lobster in Midtown West, the onion rings are $5.95 and AMAZING. Made from red onions, they are sliced thin and have a really tasty, but light batter. The crunch is great as well. Stop by the bar after work, get a cold beer and some of these babies and you are good to go. I really enjoyed how they weren’t that huge, overpowering onion ring, where you when you bite into it, the entire onion slice pulls out of the crunchy batter. With these, I would take a bite and my teeth would slice right through, not dragging any of the onion out. I even got a batch to go hoping that I could reheat them to snack on the next day, and I did, and they tasted quite good still. Not as good as they are fresh, but definitely still had no problem gobbling them up.
To reheat onion rings, all you have to do is pop the onions in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes. The crisp will come back.
