Banana Boats for Your Next Camping Trip
If you are a fan of s’mores or bananas, then you have to try a banana boat. A man that I met years ago for one evening and dubbed “Fun Bobby” shared this idea with us when he found out a group of us would be camping. I can never hang out with him ever again for fear that he may no longer live up to his nickname, but I digress. It’s a banana version of a s’more and so delicious that you will want to make it at home and can in an oven or broiler.
Ingredients
Chocolate (we used Hersey bars)
Banana
Graham crackers
Marshamallows
Foil
Now What?
Rip off enough foil to wrap a banana in. Place banana on foil. Take small pieces of graham cracker and chocolate and stick them into the banana. Top with marshmallows and securely wrap it so nothing with leak out. Place into campfire with the logs or in oven. Check every 3-4 minutes and when the marshallow and chocolate has melted, hide in the woods and eat it so that you don’t have to share with anyone. If a bear comes, run, but do not drop the banana boat because it is that good. The banana becomes so sweet from being cooked, it has a nice flambé taste to it. I may or may not make one after I finish writing this. I think yes.
